Abstract

Objective To explore the treatment regimes on patients with pneumothorax and find out the way to reduce and avoid recurrence. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on the nine cases of patients with pneumothorax treated with medical thoracoscopy. Results Eight cases were found several different sizes of pulmonary bullae featured by smooth and thin distributed on the lung surface;pulmonary bullae were located at the edge of the lung or at the interlobar fissure, and spreading to both of upper and lower lobes. Two cases were discovered adhering sites between lung tissue and parietal pleura;one case showed normal. Conclusions Medical thoracoscopy is an objective and accurate method to find pneumothorax. The patient with pneumothorax should take an examination as soon as possible if the equipment allows.
