Abstract

A pot experiment was carried out to investigate the endurance and characteristics of Brassica juncea accumulated cadmium under the cadmium stress in meadow cinnamon, and comparative trial showed that Brassica juncea had synergy effects on remediation Cd contaminated in meadow cinnamon soil by EDTA.The result showed that when the soil Cd concentration was in the range of 0-200 mg/kg,the Brassica juncea were completely able to germinate and grow all right. The biomass in above-ground of Brassica juncea take on principle of parabola changes with Cd concentration ranging in the soil and increased by 57.67%.Compared with the blank control treatment(CK),with the increasing of Cd treatment,Cd concentration in the shoots of Brassica juncea was in the range of 0.37-115.59 mg/kg,which exhibited a parabolic change current;and the Cd concentration in the roots of Brassica juncea was in the range of 0.82~191.91 mg/kg,which showed a significant linear correlation.Induced by EDTA,phytoextraction amounts were respectively by 0.5,1.36,1.63,1.53,1.54,1.45 times higher than the control treatment. And the highest Cd concentration in above-ground of Brassica juncea was 2.02 folds compared with the control. Therefore, the application of chelating agent, such as EDTA,made phytoremediation in heavy metal polluted meadow cinnamon soil more perfectly and completely.
