Abstract
The principal silvicultural techniques related to farmland shelterbelt projects in China were reviewed.The researches on tree species selection,shelterbelt structure,disposition and optimization of the spatial allocation of shelterbelts,management of mature shelterbelts and their regeneration measures were summarized.The key study points related to shelterbelt planting in the future were proposed to provide the shelterbelt planting with reference.
