Abstract

The eutrophication in lakes will directly lead to water quality deterioration and functional decline as well as aquatic ecosystem unbalance. The eutrophication is an irreversible process so that there is not a lake restoration original water quality and ecological condition through the eutrophication pollution control.Based on the analysis of present situation, causes and harmfulness of the lake eutrophication, the control measures were put forward: strict control of the exogenous pollution and remove gradually the endogenous pollution as well as inhibitting algae by physical, chemical and biological technology. The ecological restoration of eutrophication in lakes should combine biological and ecological technology with artificial strengthened measures, depend on the natural regulation of the aquatic ecosystem. The paper also points out that the pollution source control and ecological restoration are the most effective and ultimate treatment methods complying with the requirement of sustainable development and will be the developing direction of eutrophication control in future.
