Abstract
Traditionally, people regarded that Karl Marx transformed Hegel's dialectics. He changed Hegel's dialectics from standing on its head to the materialistic standing on its feet. But Althusser held that the former's dialectics stemmed from the fundamental transformation of the latter's dialectics in structure. The basic differences between the two lie in their different conceptions of the whole and that of cause and effect.
