Abstract

Firstly,the paper makes analysis and judgement with the population migration rule and character of the west region since the reform and opening-up,and uses the endogenous population migration model of economic growth,it is actually calculates the impact intensity of interprovincial population migration to economic growth of west region in the past 10 years.The results shows that between the per capita output and the net migration rate of population of each province exists high positive correlation,but the population migration of each province has a different influence intensity to the economy,overall the net effect of it in the southwest is greater.In addition,there is not any sign to indicate that interprovincial population migration associated with the regional convergence on the level of economic development,on the contrary,exactly because the level of economic development continuous expansioned,it is just formed the central regions of population migration such as Sichuan,Xinjiang,Shanxi etc.
