Abstract
Objective To observe the expression and significance of NF-κB in rat brain after experimental intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).Methods The male adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into model group(42 rats) and sham group(6 rats).According to different time, the model group was divided into 7 sub groups (1 h,3 h,6 h,24 h,48 h,72 h,7 d),each one included 6 rats.Brain edema law was observed by dry-wet method, inflammatory cells infiltrating round hematoma by HE staining, and NF-κB expression by immunohistochemistry. Results After ICH,inflammatory cells infiltrating appeared at 6 h in perihematoma, reached maximum at 48 h,and continued to 7 d.NF-κB positive cells began to increase at 1 h,reached maximum at 48 h,and continued to 7 d.In the sham group, there was no hematoma and inflammatory cells infiltrating round hematoma, but there was little NF-κB positive cells. Conclusion There is the correlation in time between NF-κB expression in rat brain and brain edema after ICH.
