Wang Guowei's Music Education

Starting from the article titled On the Materials for the Singing Course in Elementary Schools,Wang Guowei's thought on music aesthetic education has been analyzed.He believed that music education,in essence,be- longs to the aesthetic education,and music education should not become a slave of the moral one.He also held that music education must comply with its own characteristics and rules,and exerts emotion-molding influences on students,thus realizing the aesthetic goal of music education and finally achieving the purpose of aesthetic education.
