Abstract
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of omithine-aspartate and naloxone combined with Xingnaojing injection on alcoholic cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy.Methods:Forty-seven patients with alcoholic cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy were randomly divided into control group (n=22) and treatment group (n=25).The control group was treated with arginine and glutamate on the base of conventional treatment. The treatment group was treated with omithine-aspartate and naloxone combined with Xingnaojing injection on the base of conventional treatment.Improvement of symptoms, serum levels of ammonia and liver functions of two groups were observed and the clinical effect was evaluated. Results:The serum level of ammonia in treatment group was significantly decreased than that in the control group, and the total efficacy rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group (88.00% vs 63.64%,P0.05).AST,ALT,GGT and TBIL showed various degrees of recovery after treatment in both groups, but without statistic significance (P0.05).Conclusion:In treating alcoholic cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy,Omithine-aspartate and naloxone combined with Xingnaojing injection are effective in down-regulating serum level of ammonia and can increase therapeutic effect.
