Abstract
Objective:To study the expression pattern of caspase-3 in largely hyperplasia parts and less parts of BPH.Then clarify the role of apoptosis of BPH mechanism. Methods:Tissues of 25 BPH patients through TURP were embedded in paraffin, which cystourethroscope show those protate growed severely dissymmetric. One part is from largely hyperplasia gland and the other is from less hyperplasia counterpart.50 paraffin blocks were cut into sections and stained by caspase-3 of polyclonal antibody against human.Results:Caspase-3 expression increased incrementally from largely hyperplasia part to hyperplasia less part(P0.05).Conclusion:Caspase-3 is over expressed in less-grow gland of dissymmetric BPH.Increases in inhibition of apoptosis have a role in BPH.
