Related factors analysis on 236 patients with enucleation of globe

Objective To study the variety trend of the related factors that cause the enucleation of eyeball in recent years for providing a basis to reduce and avoid enucleation of eyeball after time.Methods Analyzed the related factor of 236 cases(eyes) with enucleation from 1990 to 2006 in my hospital.Result The main causes of eyes took off were trauma and glaucoma,but the proportion of eye trauma had decreased(P0.05);The prporton of glaucoma had improved(P0.05);The prportion of worker and staff has improved(P0.05);The comparison of student hadn't changed.Conclusions The currently main reason of enucleation of eyeball is eye external injury and glaucoma,among them,the proportion of eye external injury present to descend trend.
