Abstract

Objective:To analyze genetic rules and characters of high myopia. Methods All of relatives from 19 proband's pedigrees were investigated with diopter inspect, pedigree analysis and gentic analysis were conducted.Result The result showed that there were 51 high myopia among 126 persons of 19 pedigrees and the rate was 40.5%. There were 44 disorders(i.e.86.3% of the total disorders) including five pedigrees of successive three-generation disease and nine pedigrees of successive two-generation disease. There were 48 disorders(i.e.94% of the total disorders),including six pedigrees having four or more diseases and ten pedigrees having two to three diseases. Conclusion High myopia probably is the autosomal dominant modes of inheritance with weak penetrance and has the characters of family gather.
