Abstract

In this paper,based on the GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) mobile communications network,the meter data wireless collecting system is designed,the GPRS data transparent transmission module is developed and the meter data wireless transmission network is realized.With the help of the wireless IP technology and VPN(Virtual Private Network) technology,the remote wireless meter reading for industrial and civilian users is carried out efficiently and at low cost.
