Abstract
Sonic boom,being one of the key technological indicators in evaluating and deciding the validity of design proposals,is a key issue to be addressed in supersonic aircraft design.For the purpose of sonic boom calculation and evaluation,the paper introduced a simplified sonic boom prediction(SSBP) method,making the preliminary analysis of sonic boom available.And related computational software based on the SSBP method was developed.Good accordance between theoretical predictions and experimental results verified the high credibility of the introduced method.In the end,the sonic boom level of a new conceptual supersonic quiet aircraft was predicted.
