Prospects on Wild Ornamental Pteridophyte Resources and Their Landscape Application in Guizhou Province

Based on several field investigations and consulting literature materials and the ornamental elements of pteridophyte, the result showed that there are 107 genera of 50 families of wild ornamental pteridophyte in Guizhou, including 272 species, 6 varieties and 2 forms, and there are terresial, epiphytic, ishifu and aquatic fern according to the ecological types. This paper studies the landscape application of the wild ornamental fern in Guizhou from four aspects—landscaping, potted landscape, bonsai array and cut-flower distribution leaf, and introduces 10 species wild ornamental pteridophyte worthy to be developed, and the primitive landscape viewpoint was proposed by studying wild ornamental ferns' botanical garden application in Guizhou.
