Abstract
Gaining and saving of the spatial information in Internet is the key of its effective utilization and the important issue of the most GIS (Geographic Information System) scientific research teams in recent years. The scheme of Oracle ArcSDE (Spatial Data Engine) is the most advanced management one of the spatial database;supplying strong access mechanism of the spatial database .Applying the spatial database management scheme, the project team summarized many methods to optimize access from optimizing the configuration of the data server and the ArcSDE data engine.Adjustment of SGA (System Global Area) memory structure, avoidance of disk I/O issues, rational distribution of data-space,confirm of reasonable rollback-segment number, modifying priority and index Grid to optimize response time, etc, buildup a typical scheme of optimizing access to spatial data.
