Abstract
Ethanediol Gemini sodium di-n-octyl sulfosuccinate was synthesized under normal pressure by using carbon-based solid acid as the catalyst in esterification,an environmentally friendly process where purification, separation of the intermediates and organic solvents was unnecessary in reaction. The result showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows:for the diesterification:n(maleic anhydride)∶ n(n-octanol) = 1. 00 ∶ 1. 05,and reacted at 180 ℃;for the sulfonation reaction:n(maleic anhydride)∶ n(sodium hydrogen sulfite) = 1. 00 ∶ 1. 05,and reacted at 110 ℃. The product has target product features functional groups, surface performance, application performance and low toxicity.
