Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of CD11a,α chain of lymphocyte function associated antigen-1(LFA-1),in acute myeloid leukemia and its clinical significance.Method:Immunoenzymayic ABC method was used to detect the CD11a expression on the bone marrow mononuclear cells of 25 newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia patients and 8 controls.Result:The ratio of CD11a expression in newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia patients was(37.02±13.30)%,which was significantly lower than that of control(87.13±5.38%)(P0.05).The mean ratio of CD11a expression in non-remission group and complete remission group after chemotherapy were(47.09±10.55)% and(29.11±9.36)%,respectively.Non-remission patients showed markedly higher CD11a expression than complete remission patients(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of CD11a molecule on mononuclear cells from acute leukemia bone marrow was abnormal. The low expression of CD11a might correlated with escape from immunosurveillance and release from hematopoietic microenviroment of leukemia cells.Expression of CD11a on mononuclear cell of bone marrow could be significant for evaluating prognosis of acute myeloid leukemia patients.
