Totem,Totem Mythology and Ancient Furui——A New Interpretation of Chinese Ancient Totem Culture

In China,totem worship,as an organizational system of the primitive society,has gradually faded away after entering the class society,but its forms of faith have been long reserved in another historical form-the faith of Furui which was a special kind of sign faith style in ancient China.There are at least two key links between Furui and Totem worship:first,a large number of images of Furui originated from totem objects worshiped by the ancestors;second,linked to the former point,Furui are closely connected with totem myths.The great cultural identity of the integrated diverse ancient civilization in China can be seen by examining Furui with totem worship background.
