Abstract
The influence of physical and chemical factors to flavonoid extracted from the male chestnut flowers's scavenging ability of DPPH free radical was studied by Ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The results showed that the natural light had influence to flavonoid extracted from the male chestnut flowers's scavenging ability to DPPH free radical. The effect of temperature was not obvious. The scavenging ability of DPPH free radical was superior in the acidic condition of pH3~5,and the scavenging ability of DPPH free radical was lower in the strong acid and alkali solution. The effect of metal ions,Na+,K+,Ca2+,Mg2+,Fe3+on scavenging ability of DPPH free radical was not obvious. But the effect of Al 3+ was obvious.
