Diagnosis and treatment of insulinoma:A report of 9 cases

Objective:To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of insulinoma.Methods:9 patients with insulinoma from October,1993 to June,2006 were analyzed retrospetively.The diagnosis and treatment of insulinoma were also discussed based on the recent native and foreign literatures.Results:All of 9 patients with insulinoma were operated.8 were confirmed by pathology,which included 7 cases classified as benign insulinoma,1 case of malignant insulinoma.Conclusion:The patients with insulinoma have the typical Wipple s triple-combined symptom.It should be performed simply tumor remove or partial pancrease resection for benign insulinoma.Extended radical resection combined with other comprehensive treatment is benefited for malignant insulinoma.
