Abstract
Aim To study the pharmacokinetics of sparfloxacin in serum and urine. Methods 200mg single oral dose of sparfloxacin tablets were given to ten patients in the study. Sparfloxacin concentrations in serum and urine were determined by high performance liquid chromatography method and the pharmacokinetics parameters were computed with 3P87 program. Results The concentration-time curves of sparfloxacin tablets were conformed to a double compartment open model. The t lag was (0.25±0.12)h,T 1/2ka (0.88±0.17)h,T 1/2 β (13.22±2.78)h,t peak (3.99±0.40)h,C max (0.94±0.24)mg·L -1 ,AUC 0-∞ (13.56±3.98)mg·h·L -1 and CL ke (0.75±0.40)L·h -1 .The discharge rate in 24h of original sparfloxacin in urine was (10.16±1.46)% separately. Conclusion Sparfloxacin tablet was a long acting preparation.
