Review of Research on Zhang Chengzhi's Novels

This article concisely arranges and critics research achievments of Zhang Chengzhi's novels from the early 1980s to the middle 1990s. It includes two parts: One is the interpretion of literary meaning to Zhang Chengzhi's novels.There are aboundant research achievments in the field with changing of the literary ideas and renewing of the critical methods. The other is about assessing the value of Zhang Chengzhi's novels. At the initial stage appreciation is the essential trend and then the researchers begin to query the final choice and the ways of Zhang Chengzhi's spiritual persuit.
