Abstract
A new environmentally-friendly catalyst,PAn-I_2 was prepared.Benzaldehyde 1,2-propylene acetal was synthesized from benzaldehyde and 1,2-propylene alcohol in the presence of polyaniline doped with iodine.Factors influencing the product yield were discussed and optimum reaction conditions were found.Experimental result showed that polyaniline doped with iodine was an excellent catalyst. With n(benzaldehyde)/ n(1,2-propylene)/=1/1.5,w(polyaniline doped with iodine)=0.98%,cyclohexane 14mL and reaction time 2.0h,yield of benzaldehyde 1,2-propylene acetal could reach 91.0%.
