Abstract

A sand culture experiment was conducted on Zoysia japonica cv.lanyin No.3 which was cultivated with different nutrient solutions to determine the effect of different nitrogen supply forms,T0:CK;T1:100% nitrate nitrogen;T2:75 nitrate nitrogen and 25% ammonium nitrogen;T3:25% nitrate nitrogen and 75% ammonium nitrogen;T4:100% ammonium nitrogen;T5:100% amide nitrogen. Each kind of nutrient solution was made up from different portions of nitrogen form that concluded nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and amide nitrogen.Turfgrass growth and quality were evaluated by turfgrass coverage, shoot density, grass height, chlorophyll content, shoot biomass and root biomass being analyzed. The results showed that all the three forms of nitrogen can promote the growth of Zoysia japonica cv.lanyin No.3.There was no remarkable differences between ammonium, nitrate, ammonium and nitrate mixed culture treatment;but there was remarkable difference between amide nitrogen and other treatment. The coverage, shoot density, shoot biomass and root biomass of turfgrass cultured with amide nitrogen are lower distinctly than those of other combination. The ratio of 75% ammonium and 25% nitrate nitrogen will be optimal culture for ferlization.
