Abstract

This paper expounds the definition of economic sanctions and make an effort to approach the policy of economic sanctions for the purpose of economic and political interests. It gives a detail analysis to economic sanctions which USA impose on EU and Cuba; the International Community imposed on South Africa for its racial discrimination; the western countries imposed on Zimbabwe, and also makes evaluation to economic sanctions from the angles of significance and effect.
