Researches on the Development of Valley Economy in Beijing Mountain Area

This text focuses on the planning making of the development of valley economy in Beijing mountain area and the planning and executing of the twelfth Five-Year Plan,and is at the height of developing Beijing into a world city. It points out that Beijing has some unique conditions to develop valley economy,such as dualistic structure of the landscapes,the demand of making good use of the land of the mountain area,the matrix of mountain valley,the superiorities of endowment of resources,the capital's conveniently situation,and so on. It also points out that though the development of valley economy is significant,there are still some problems to solve,for example,lag of land planning,lack of foresight in management,absence of scientific verification for ecological capacity. Now it is urgent to make unified plans which are at the height of world city,in order to accentuate the feature of the area;it also needs to rise the level of standardization and institutionalization in management,and improve the input mechanism for the development of valley economy,so that the sustainable development of valley economy in mountain area can be ensured.
