From tradition to modernity——Probing ZHOU Jianren's view on sexual morality in the later stage of the May Fourth Movement

ZHOU Jianren strongly criticizes the traditional view on sexual morality which is of dual standard and violates human nature,and thinks that freedom of love and birth control are two core problems of modern sexual morality.He admits the difference of man and women in physiology,psychology and dividing the work of race,thinks that there exists deviation in the both opinions of repaying the man and opposing woman's rights,and views constituting new modern sexual morality which is equal and harmonious at the base of admitting the difference of gender,which already approaches the level of modern social gender theory.This ideal view on sexual morality undoubtedly has deep enlightenment effect on constituting the harmony of man and women in modern society.
