Abstract

According to the unusual mining conditions of the 5343 fully mechanized caving face of WuLan colliery, the law of the strata behaviors of fully mechanized caving face in soft coal and stable roof conditions are researched with the methods of ground pressure observation and synthetic analysis, the basic characteristics of the strata behaviors have been acquired. In the face, the first weighting distance is 24.2m,the periodic weighting average distance si 9.41m,and the average load and the maximum load of supports is not different too.The results show that, compared with the fully mechanized caving face in ordinary soft coal seam, the strata behavior of the fully mechanized caving face in soft coal and stable roof conditions is comparatively obvious, and the face has notable periodic weighting phenomena and the serious wall spalling and roof fall, the face roof management is very difficult. The conclusion helps to enhance the safe producing level of this face.
