Abstract
In recirculating aquaculture, suspended solids derived from food remnants and fish feces have become a key factor seriously impacting on the growth and health of fish. The main water treatments including physical, chemical, biological techniques and the development trend of further research are summarized based on the trend of modern fisheries development, combined with research and development trend of the aquaculture water treatment technology. Based on the analysis, some new effective techniques which meet the needs of recirculating aquaculture system are discussed.
