Abstract
Butyl p-hydroxybenzoate were synthesized by reaction of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and butanol, with aminosulfonic acid as catalyst. The optimum conditions are as follows: the ratio of butanol,p-hydroxybenzoic acid, aminosulfonic acid is 0.30 mol︰0.05 mol︰2 g,using dehydration equipment refluxing for 6 h,The yield can be reached 89.7%,The conversion rate can be successfully analyzed with the method of Acid-Base Titrimetry; The activity of some kinds of sulfonic acid catalysts have been studied. These products were charatorized by measuring its melting point,IR.
