Abstract

Reactive compatibilization of PP/wood-flour composites has been achieved via direct reactive extrusion of dicumyl peroxide,maleic anhydride,wood-flour and polypropylene.Impact rupture surface of the composites has been observed by scanning electron microscope,and the load deformation temperature and mechanical properties have been tested.The result indicates that the anchoring strength of both phase of the composites are obviously strengthened and the load deformation temperature,tensile strength and flexural strength of the composites are heightened after compatibilization.Maximums of the load deformation temperature,tensile strength and flexural strength respectively are 115 ℃,41 MPa and 63 MPa,which respectively increase by 15 ℃,37% and 31% than that before compatibilization.The elongation at break and impact strength of the composites certainly descend.
