Abstract
The effects of different N and K fertilizer amounts on yield and quality of tobacco are investigated by designing the randomized blocks test. The results show that the yield and output value of tobacco leaf are improved when N amount in base manure is up to 60%, and the yield and output of tobacco leaf are decreased but the quality of upper tobacco leaf is significantly improved when the ratio of N fertilizer in base manure is increased further. The internal quality of tobacco leaf and smoking quality are improved with increase of ratio of K fertilizer in base manure. The application of K fertilizer at late growth period of tobacco plant is beneficial to improving the quality of tobacco leaf by decreasing contents of total N and tobacco alkaloid.
