Reform the Old Aesthetics of the Six Dynasties and Mould the New One of the Tang Dynasty

The historical mission of the early Tang Dynasty is to remove the shadow of and settle accounts with the aesthetics of the Six Dynasties,and to establish its own aesthetics both in form and content.It is a period of transition and innovation to be completed by Chen Ziang.The aesthetics of this time is essentially oriented by such values as humanism and commitment to the social development.The aesthetic achievement of the early Tang Dynasty mainly consists in its endeavor to make a spontaneous style out of the affected one of the Six Dynasties,and transform the ancient poetry and prose patterns of the Han and Wei Dynasties into fresh ones.
