Abstract
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of nerve conduction velocity in patients with diabetic subclinical peripheral neuropathy.To evaluate the influence to the prognosis of diabetic subclinical peripheral neuropathy by giving an effective treatment in early stage.Methods Sixty patients with diabetes and thirty healthy people were divided into the DM group and control group.It had no evident difference between the two groups in sex and age.The motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)of the madian,ulnar,common peroneal,tibial nerves and the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)of the madian,ulnar,sural nerves were measured in the two groups.Results ①The abnormality rate was 48.33% in the DM group.The abnormality rate was 3.33% in the control group.A significant difference was noted between the two groups.(P0.01).②The NCV abnormality rate of lower limb was higher than that of upper limb.(P0.01).③ The abnormality rate of sensory nerve conduction velocity was higher than that of motor nerve conduction velocity.(P0.05).④Giving the treatment in early stage,the evident mending rate of NCV was 75.86%.Conclusion ①The examination of NCV was of great help to the diagnosis of diabetic subclinical peripheral neuropathy in early stage.②The damage of the peripheral neuropathy might be resumed by giving the treatment in early stage.
