Abstract
The influences of adding triethylamine[(C2H5)3N],diethylamine[(C2H5)2NH] and their mixture into alkaline electrolyte to the zinc electrode were studied. The mixing of triethylamine and diethylamine could improve the anti-corrosion and passivation performance of zinc electrode, the corrosion potential negative shift 0.01~0.02 V,the passivation potential increased 0.05~0.08 V,the reversibility was also improved, the effect was the best when V(KOH)∶V[(C2H5)3N]∶V[(C2H5)2NH]=100∶0.5∶0.5.Diethylamine was not suitable to use as additive individually since it would decrease the reversibility of zinc electrode.Triethylamine had no obvious improvement for zinc electrode performance as well.
