Abstract

Lercanidipine is a novel dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker.It is a highly lipophilic drug and has a slow onset and longer duration of action. Preclinical and clinical evidences have shown that its anti hypertension effect is durable and safe. It may also protect end organ damages.
