Abstract
The green algae bloom was seen in Baishui River,a tributary of Daning River of the Three Gorges Reservoir in the first half year of 2011.The on-site monitoring was carried out with the DS5x portable multi-parameter water quality Detector. The analysis shows that there is a positive correlation between DO,pH,PCY and chlorophyll. The monitoring of the water column shows that the water temperature,DO,pH,PCY and chlorophyll are declining until reaching a depth of 5 meters. Therefore,it is suggested to take the on-site monitoring indexes to determine the severity of algal bloom during its emergency monitoring.
