Abstract
Objective To explore curative effect of combination of OK-432 and cisplatin in treatment of malignant pleural effusion. Methods 49 patients with malignant pleural effusion were divided into therapy group and control group randomly.26 patients were treated with OK-432 and cisplatin by intrapleural injection in treatment group.23 patients were treated with cisplatin only by intrapleural injection in control group. The changes in volume of pleural effusion and treatment effects were observed in two groups. Results The effective rate in treatment group and control group were 84.6% and 52.2% respectively(P0.05).The side effects of treatment group were fever, chest ache, arrest of bone marrow and digestive tract reaction, but there was no obvious difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The intrapleural injection with OK-432 and cisplatin is simple and effective in treatment of malignant pleural effusion, and it is better than that only cisplatin.
