Nasal endoscopy for treatment of rhinomycosis in maxillary sinus in 75 cases

【Objective】To investigate the effective minimally-invasive treatment for rhinomycosis in maxillary sinus.【Methods】A retrospective study was carried out on 75 cases with rhinomycosis in maxillary sinus treated in our hospital from Jan 2005 to Jun 2008,all the cases were cured by endoscopic sinus surgery.【Results】The symptoms disappeared in all the cases.There was no reoccurrence by the end of a follow-up period of 6 months to 2 years.【Conclusion】Endoscopic sinus surgery is one of the effective methods for the treatment of rhinomycosis in maxillary sinus.It is safe and little invasive,and also provides the benefit of early recovery and few complications.
