Abstract
The effects of different grazing intensity on the plant height,coverage,frequency,density,biomass and sheep production performance after the pasture growing for four months in Karst alpine-cold mountain in Guizhou province were studied to explore the relationship among grazing density,biomass and livestock production performance.The results showed that grazing significantly inhibited the growth of Digitaria sanguinalis of Gramineae weeds,Lolium perenne and Dactylis glomeiata,but increased the growth of Trifolium repens and Polygonum sibiricum of noxious plants.Moderate grazing improved the ratio of meadow,increased the ratio of lives weight per unit area and availed the lives weight and ecological balance of meadow.
