Investigation of Mental Health State of 3089 Freshmen

Objective to investigate mental health state of freshmen.Methods 3089 freshmen were group-tested by SCL-90.Results the freshmen had higher scores in all factors than Chinese youth norm;the female freshmen had higher scores in somatization,obsessive-compulsive,Interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,phobia anxiety and total factor,and had lower score in hostility than the male freshmen;the freshmen of had higher scores in obsessive-compulsive,hostility and psychoticism,and had lower score in phobia anxiety than the freshmen of science.The whole mental health state of freshmen is worse than that of Chinese youth norm.
