Abstract

The activated carbon electrode material for supercapacitor was prepared through chemical activated method at 500~(1 000 ℃) with normal coal-tar pitch as precursor,KOH as activator. The influence of temperature on microstructure of the materials was analyzed by cyclic voltammetry,AC impedance and galvanostatic charge-discharge methods.Electrochemical performance of different porous activated carbon in the organic electrolyte was analyzed. At 500~700 ℃,the specific capacitance increased with the increasing of activated temperature, the activated carbon activated at 700 ℃ had highest specific capacitance. The specific capacitance of activated carbon was decreased when the temperature was above 700 ℃.The activated carbon prepared at 700~1 000 ℃ showed good electrochemical performance.
