Myocardium ischemic and apoptosis

Apoptosis goes with the myocardium's course of proliferation, differentiation, developing and maturation. It takes part in various heart diseases. The data shows that apoptosis is the kind of important way of myocardium death. The regular and control of apoptosis maybe relate to the unbalance between anti - apoptosis gene and pro - apoptosis gene, while affected by stimulation signal around myocardium. The apoptosis of myocardium is thought that is an independent factor for cell injury in acute my-ocardial infarction( AMI). Before the myocardium dead, cell apoptosis is the primary injury of AMI. Myocardium apoptosis also works on the reperfusion injury and precondition. The signification of discussing the myocardium apoptosis is to enhance our knowledge of myocardium injury in AMI. We should use new clinical strategy according to the characteristics of apoptosis in acute and chronic AMI course.
