Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the correlation between male infertility and diseases of seminal vesicles and ejaculatory duct by transrectal ultrasonography(TURS).Methods: Seminal vesicles and ejaculatory duct of one hundred and fifty-two patients were detected by TURS,and semen routine checked at the same time.Results:①Of 152 patients,14.47% were found with normal seminal vesicles and ejaculatory duct,54.61% were found with seminal vesicles diseases, and 30.92% were found with ejaculatory duct disease;②Compared with control group, short diameter of the seminal vesicles in patients with cystis vesiculae seminalis and acute seminal vesiculitis increased significantly, and that in patients with chronic seminal vesiculitis, seminal vesicles atrophy and hypogenesis decreased significantly;③ There was a intimate correlation between semen routine and diseases of seminal vesicles and ejaculatory duct. Conclusion: TURS can be one of the most valuable sensitive technique for the diagnosis of seminal vesicles and ejaculatory duct disease in male infertility.
