Empirical Research on Competitive Power of Dominant Small Industries in Equipment Manufacturing in Shaan Xi Province

Because the principal components analysis is one practical multi-dimensional statistical analysis method,it can eliminate the relevance between the sample indexes,and also extract a few representative principal components under the premise of retaining samples' main information.Therefore,this article utilizes the principal components analysis method to carry on the synthesis comparison of competitive power of equipment manufacturing industries from the 30 provinces,the city,the autonomous regions in China.It is believed that the equipment manufacturing industry in Shaanxi province has certain scale competitive power and the synthesis competitive power,but Shaanxi's competitive power is weaker than that in the eastern China part like Jiangsu,Guangdong.The findings also indicats that,Shaanxi has 47 small industries whose synthesis competitive power ranks the top 10 in the nation,and that,through vigorously developing these dominant small industries,the overall competitive power in Shaanxi's equipment manufacturing industry may be promoted.
