Abstract
The article mainly discusses the development of ritual sacredness and essence.In ancient China,although ritual originated from the activities of scarifying in the primitive society,it had sacredness,this characteristic gradually changed.At the beginning,ritual was the media between god and human being,and then developed as the principle of the dominated idea to the affairs of the world.The article further analyses the legal meaning of ritual.
