Abstract
The method of transferring model from CAD modeling software Pro/E to dynamic simulating software ADAMS was studied when dynamic simulation was done on some machine gun system according to its physical model. The virtual prototyping model of the machine gun system was built in the simulation environment. The dynamic simulation analysis of automatic mechanisms and feed transfer mechanism was done. The simulation result and the experimental data were compared and parametrical design was done on the springs. Thus the feasibility of introducing virtual prototyping technology into the design of automatic weapons is validated and the base is established for further simulation work.
