Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of ligustrazine on connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)expression and collagen deposition in pulmonary fibrosis rats. Methods 72 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control(A group),model group(B group),ligustrazine treatment group(C group),24 rats in each group.Rats were injected with a single dose of bleomycin by trachea to build modes. To observe collagen deposition in rats, the lung was incised to make pathological sections which were stained with Masson,CTGF expression in rat pulmonary tissues was detected by SABC immunohistochemistry. Results B group, the bronchus submucosa, the afferent wall and surroundings, alveollar wall and the lung interstition all has a great deal of collagen deposition;C group lighter than the model group;A group most lightly. The expression of CTGF in C group was significantly higher than that in A group and it was lower than that in B group. Conclusions The effect of ligustrazine on collagen deposition in pumlonary fibrosis rats may be correlated with its inhibition on over expression of CTGF in lung tissue.
