Abstract

Objective To probe into the effect of transurethral enucleation of the prostate(TUEP) and transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP).Methods 75 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)were treated with TUEP surgery,110 cases were treated with TURP surgery. Results In TUEP group, the intraoperative blood loss (prostatic weight 60 g),operating time were significantly lower than those of TURP group (P 0.05),but the resected tissue weight was significantly higher than that of TURP group(P 0.05).maximum urine rate of flow (Qmax),residual urine volume (RUV),International prostate symptom score(IPSS) and life quality score(QOI) were no significant difference in the above parameters between two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion TUEP compared to TURP surgery is safer, less bleeding(prostate weight 60 g),less operative time, more resected tissue weight, less complications
